‘Never give up’

Based on the life story of Muniba Mazari

We, as human beings have a problem. Out of many problems, there is one more. We always expect ease from life. Actually this is a self created one.We have this amazing fantasy about life. We make a mind set as, this is how things should work, this is my plan and it should go as per my plan. If that doesn't happen, we give up. Most of the time we are in search of worries. But the most important thing is to turn your worries into blessings. So this a story of a strong woman. A very special straightforward mind owner, she is Muniba Mazari.

It's true that a person is not talented only for one thing in this world. The best example for is this is the strong female soul, Muniba Mazari a Pakistani activist, anchor artist, model, singer and motivational speaker. She became the National Ambassador for UN women  after being shortlisted in the 100 Inspirational Women of 2015 by BBC. She also made it to the Forbes 30 under 30 list for 2016.

We can learn lots of things from her life story. She was married according to her parents' wish at the age of 18, before she could even complete her studies. In 2008, while Muniba and her husband were travelling , their car met with an accident. After this unlucky incident she sustained several major injuries such as broken bones in her arm, rib cage, shoulder blade, spine and collarbone. Sadly her lungs and liver were also cut deeply. The worst thing was that her entire lower body was left paralyzed. After several surgeries she was left bed ridden for two years. As a result of that she had to be on a wheel chair for the rest of her life. Although the reason for the accident was the careless driving of her husband, she had to pay for it with her life. After the accident her husband left her as doctors told that she lost the ability of being a mother because of the injuries.

Among all these burdens she still created her path in an unbelievable manner. Muniba started painting on her hospital bed. She created her own art brand with the slogan of "Let your walls wear colours". Finally she presented her works in exhibitions. Muniba never wanted to be on wheelchair. Never thought of being on a wheelchair. Although she had to spend rest of her life on a wheelchair she painted her world as she dreamt.

Failure should be an option because when you fail you get up and again fail and get up again. That keeps you going. That's how humans become strong. Failure is an option, should be an option but giving up is not. As human beings we all have a weak point as "finding perfection". We want ourselves to be perfect. There is this image in our head about everything to be perfect such as perfect life, perfect relationships, perfect career, perfect amounts of money that we need to earn. But Muniba's life story teaches us we can enjoy our life and be the person that we want without perfection. We all are perfectly imperfect and that is perfectly alright.

Those people who tell you how to look perfect, even those people are imperfect. So try to fight this fear of being imperfect.

You don't have to be perfect just because other people want you to be perfect. If your soul is perfect from within, that's alright. This is all what you need to be. There is another difference between  Muniba's soul and our lives. We think too much about people's say. But we listen to ourselves too little. There are so many people in this world who are dreaming to live a life that we are living right now. So celebrate your life and live it. Don't die before death.

We all are struggling to have a better life. We work hard and make money only for ourselves. But that doesn't make the true value of life. Going out and seeking for people who need your help, making their life better, becoming that sponge which can absorb all the negativity will add value to your lives. Muniba has spent 12 years on her wheelchair. She showed us that every accident in our lives happen to create the best version of us. So don't hate those accidents. Embrace those accidents. Pain is not a weakness anymore. It's your strength. Because with pain comes healing. Healing doesn't come towards you. It comes from you. So today if you are in pain. Congratulations! Because you are on the journey of becoming an empath.

If you smile, you can make people smile. So, be grateful for what you have. Sometimes we are too busy thinking about the things that we don't have, that we forgot to cherish the blessings that we have. Muniba may hurt by thinking about that she can't walk. But today she has been awarded for her paintings, singing, social work and modelling. Although life is full of unexpected turns, never giving up is the way to live.

Live your life fully. Accept yourself the way you are and be kind to yourself.
