Even with all of those scars they are still beautiful - World Rose Day 2021







World Rose day is celebrated all around the world to cheer up and show affection to all cancer patients and caregivers. This day was picked as honor of 12 years old Melinda Rose from Canada who was diagnosed with Askin’s Tumour , a rare form of blood cancer. Even when she was having days to live she dedicated her time to bring hope and joy to the other innocent souls who are battling with this deadly disease. 

Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cells which have the potential to invade and spread to other parts of the body. Cancer has physical as well as psychological impact on an individual. The recovering process is also tasking on the body and mind of those affected people. Cancer affects both self image as well as self esteem. With the changes of the body,mental trauma of being ravaged by this disease, the financial cost associated with the recovery and treatment process drag down patients’ need of living. But still cancer is an underdiscovered disease.Medical and science fields are still struggling to find an absolute treatment. Only a few approaches were successful.

 Rose is a symbol of tenderness, love and care. People try to express their concern to cancer patients and caregivers by offering a rose. Main aim of this day is to remind the patients and caregivers that they are not alone in this battle against this harsh disease and create a positive environment.At the same time increase the awareness of this disease and reduce the myths and fake news . This is a day where people all around the world work towards bringing cheer and hope into the lives of those affected patients.
